You will be picked-up by your guide and travel north, stop in the town of Borgarnes for restroom and coffee and then on to a volcano crater Grábrók.

After a short stop we drive to the small fishing village Hvammstangi to visit a natural history & seal museum.
After visiting the museum we drive around the peninsula in an attempt to observe seals.

Then we travel along scenic fjord landscapes and over several challenging mountain passes until we reach Akureyri, Icelands most beautiful town.
In the summer time we will drive to Hjalteyri to go for a whale watching tour but in the winter we are going to Lamb inn for dinner and then on a Northern lights tour.

Day 2

We drive to Lake Mývatn, one of the most scenic places in Iceland, landscape filled with craters and lava formations and amazing bird population.
Breathtaking panoramic views make Lake Mývatn one of the most beatiful places in the world.

First stop is waterfall Goðafoss, one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Iceland.
From Goðafoss we head to Dimmuborgir, a large area composed of various volcanic caves and rock formations, powerful place you won´t forget.

Then we go and relax and eat lunch at Jarðböðin. A unique lagoon in the north, just as nice and intresting as the Blue Lagoon just not as crowded.

After that relaxing stop it is Námaskarð, a world of mudpots, sulfaters and steamvents. Colorful soil and smelly, but so intresting and different.

On we go and next is the explotion crater Víti, very unique landscape and very young.

Then we start to head back but stop at 2 more places Grjótagjá, an old bathing ravine of the local people but to hot to bath in now because of volvanic activity underneath. (in the wintertime the weather can affect this stop)
And then to Gígar, a pseudocraters of extraordinary formations and view.

After our day tour around the area we will explore the town of Akureyri before going to Lamb Inn for dinner.

We will arrive at our hotel at 19:00 and have dinner and then look for Auroras during the evening.

Day 3

We start the day off at 7:30 and drive for 4 hours with comfort stops to reach Húsafell at 12:00

We will have some time to get lunch and then drive with a big mountain truck up to Langjökull, a glacier that we will „go into“.
At around 1.300 meter height there's an entrance into the glacier, a tunnel that has been constructed with lights, platforms and walkways to enjoy this unique world of ice.
This is an experience that you will never forget.
We will be down from the glacier around 16:00 and after a short stop we continue our journey.

Hraunfossar is our destination. There you will see waterfall that is unique in the world, no other waterfall is like this one.
The water flows through the lava and comes out in layers like a cream of many layered ice.
Next to Hraunfossar is Barnafoss another waterfall  that is just as beautiful. From there we drive to one of the worlds largest hot-spring, there are 200 liters of 100 °c hot water that flow out every second, and a lot of steam.

Then we drive to Borgarnes and stop for restroom and coffee and look at the conditions for Auroras and head for Reykjavík.

Our arrival time in Reykjavik will be around 18:30 and we drop you off at your hotel or guesthouse were you can relax until you will be picked-up again to go for aurora hunting.

If there is any chance to see the aurora we will go and look for it.
